Overview & Essential Job Functions

Position Summary:


The Information Technology (I.T.) Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's information technology projects from development to completion.  The I.T. Manager will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day department operations including employee scheduling, helpdesk quality, and month-end support.  The I.T. Manager will act as a liaison between the company’s business information users and technical staff, contractors, and partners to ensure that the business and user requirements are met.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage helpdesk and system administration employees.
  • Develop requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedulers for information technology projects.
  • Develop Return on Investments (ROI) calculations.
  • Work with all departments to identify system integration opportunities.
  • Act as a liaison between the users and technical staff and contractors to ensure the requirements are met.
  • Identify training opportunities for staff and users.
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Develop project tracking and variance reports.
  • Create project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain helpdesk ticket resolution policies and ensure service quality.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the department director.

Qualifications & Environmental Demands

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors of Science (BS) in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field
  • Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant effective leadership experience
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to manage personnel
  • Proven ability to manage large projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated networking skills, able to foster strong relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of Company data
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or closely related field
  • A+, Network+ or other equivalent certifications
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Crystal Report and other report writer

    • Eye/hand coordination, fingering (typing), handling, & wrist motion continuously.
    • Lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. frequently.
    • Bending, reaching, stretching, standing, & walking occasionally.

    • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, & noise occasionally.
    • Exposure to grease, oil, chemicals, & wet conditions occasionally.
    • Works inside only. Position considered office only.
