Overview & Essential Job Functions

Position Summary:


The Inside Sales Supervisor oversees a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) and Sales Administrators (VSA). The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for day to day performance management and quality assurance of both Inside Sales (IS) and Sales Administrator Teams. This consists of meeting performance metrics, generating sales, and retaining existing customer, while promoting the Athens Way in all interactions. IS Supervisor will collaborate with various internal and external departments to achieve common company goals, while exceeding customer expectation by providing best in class customer experiences. The IS Supervisor reports directly to the Inside Sales Manager with oversight from the Director of Customer Experience.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise Inside Sales and Sales Administrator Teams generates growth and retains customers through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, mailings, fax and seminars to establish/extend relationships
  • Manage performance of teams to ensure maximum potential and if necessary adjust goals
  • Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure sales program's success across teams and departments throughout the company.
  • Collaborate with marketing, support, community management, internal systems, product management and account management to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings.
  • Facilitate programs to gather requirements and features from customers and their communities to augment sales, marketing, development, support, product management, and business and technology partnerships, and others as needed.
  • Design and Manage out-bound sales campaigns
  • Identify additional revenue streams and establish best sales practices
  • Oversee resource planning, reporting, territories, incentives and communications for the assigned team.
  • Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.
  • Provide growth development for new and existing staff
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications & Environmental Demands

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years in related field
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Bachelor degree in Communications or any other related field.
  • Work experience in the waste or transportation industry.
