  • Overview & Essential Job Functions

    Position Summary:

     

    The Logistics Analyst reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for the development and analyzation of operations plans for Request for Proposals (RFP’s), and cost reduction or revenue opportunities through working with the Revenue team.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Ability to obtain detailed audit information from route and city audits along with identifying opportunities for revenue improvement.
    • Perform field and on-truck audits as needed to ensure the auditing schedule is met.
    • Ensure data collected from field audits are accurately reported and reconciled.
    • Create Operations plans, load plans, and planned hours for RFP’s
    • Assist with implementing new mapping and planning for new start-up contracts.
    • Utilizes Route Smart software to create optimal operating plans.
    • Work with drivers and management to analyze route audit findings and communicate efficiency opportunities.
    • Work with Operations and Revenue team to target customer equipment increase opportunities through route audits.
    • Work with billing department to ensure audit findings are accurately reported.

    Qualifications & Environmental Demands

    Required Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelors’ Degree in related field or 2 years’ experience in related field.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Able to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner.
    • Exceptional computer literacy abilities (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Proven detail orientation abilities.
    • Superior organizational skills.
    • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.  

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Experienced in using Route Smart and Soft-Pak applications.
    • Tableau software

     

    Physical/Environmental Demands:

    • Physical:
      • Standing, walking, seeing, hearing, sitting & smelling continuously.
      • Problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, concentration, & interpersonal abilities continuously.
      • Bending, reaching, stretching, foot (pedaling) and lifting ≤ 50 Lbs. frequently.
      • Eye/hand coordination, handling, & wrist motion continuously.
    • Environmental:
      • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet/hot conditions, & noise continuously.
      • Works inside and outside.
