Tennant Operator

Position Summary:

The Tennant Operator is responsible for the safe operation of tenant sweeper/scrubber inside the material recycling facility (MRF).

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform pre-and post-operation inspection of the tenant in accordance with Company policy to ensure working properly, and equipment is in proper operating condition. 
• Drives tenant in the yard and inside the MRF to keep floors cleaned.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures. 
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.  

Required Qualifications: 

• High School diploma or GED. 
• Driver License and clean driving record.
• Acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward drivers and co-workers; works with honesty and trustworthiness. 
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner. 
• Good follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise. 
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks. 
• Maintains a feeling of pride in work; strives to achieve all goals.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bilingual English / Spanish
• Minimum of 1 year of prior related experience.

• Physical:
  • Standing, walking, sitting, seeing, hearing, & smelling continuously.
  • Problem solving, oral/written communication, analytical ability, concentration, & interpersonal abilities continuously.
  • Eye/hand coordination, handling, & wrist motion continuously.

• Environmental:
  • Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, chemicals, wet/hot conditions, & noise continuously.
